When Should I Upgrade My Cell Phone

I have my phone for over a year already and want to get a new model, when should I upgrade my cell phone? And many of you ask a similar question whenever they see a new phone come out. There is no absolutely time span you can follow to upgrade your current cell phone. Some people find their phones are still function after 3 and 4 years of use. Some people prefer to have a new phone very 1 or 2 years. In general you should upgrade your phone at least once every 2 years whether you decide to switch carrier or stay with the same carrier. The reason is that you can get new phones for free or at a discounted price. For example, iFreeCellPhones.com offers the new BlackBerry Bold for $0.00 with new 2-year plan. If you buy it without a contract, it will cost you over $500. That's a huge saving for committing a 2-year relationship with a carrier. Hey, why not? You can't use a phone with out wireless service, right? For current customers, you can do the upgrade at the 22nd month into the contract or earlier depending on the current plan spending - the more money you spend the earlier you are allowed to upgrade. When should you upgrade your phone? Do it as often as you qualify.
